Strong Start for Sidney Cheer at BUCC Wild Cheer & Dance Competition

Sidney Cheer kicked off their competition season with an impressive showing at the BUCC Wild Cheer & Dance Competition this past weekend, bringing home multiple awards and top finishes across several divisions.

The Sidney Youth Cheer Team delivered a strong performance and proudly earned 2nd place in their division, setting the tone for the rest of the program.

Individually, Sidney cheerleaders made a splash in specialty events:

Chole Dunham claimed victory in the Jump Off, earning top honors for her outstanding jumps.

CaSandra Harringer soared to the top in the Tumble Off, winning for the best tumbling pass of the day.

The Sidney High School (SHS) Varsity Gameday Team impressed judges and spectators alike with a solid routine in a highly competitive division, ultimately finishing 5th place.

Meanwhile, the Sidney Middle School (SMS) Gameday Team had a standout performance, taking 1st place in their division and earning the prestigious title of Grand Champions for the highest-scoring junior high routine of the day.

Sidney Cheer coaches shared their excitement about the team’s strong start:
"We’re incredibly proud of all our athletes. This competition was a great way to kick off the season, and we’re excited to keep building from here."

With energy high and momentum on their side, Sidney Cheer looks forward to continued success in the competitions ahead.
