The Cross Country teams competed at the Miami Valley League Championships on Saturday. The MVL Championships made a return appearance this year on the flat and mostly grass course that went around the Piqua High School campus and ended in the stadium . This marks the 4th time racing on the course in the past year for the Jackets. All 10 teams in the MVL competed. The top 20 runners earned all league honors.
Sidney High School boys finished 9th overall as a team with 244 points. Just ahead of Xenia (253) and behind Stebbins (238) and Fairborn (235).
Sidney High School girls finished 7th with 190 points, ahead of Fairborn (234) but behind Stebbins (178) who won the Valley Division. With soccer player Briana Lewis making her career debut, the girls were able to score as a team for the first time in 2 years.
The middle school girls finished 6th overall with 174 points, just behind Fairborn (153 points).
