Yellow Jackets Shine at Miami Valley League Cheerleading Competition
The Sidney Yellow Jackets Cheerleading squads delivered outstanding performances at the Miami Valley League Cheerleading Competition on Saturday. Both the Middle School and Varsity teams represented Sidney with spirit, skill, and pride.
The Sidney Middle School squad captured first place, showcasing their hard work and enthusiasm throughout their routine. Their energy, precision, and teamwork impressed the judges and set the tone for a successful day for the Yellow Jackets.
The Varsity squad also turned in a strong performance, earning third place with their dynamic Game Day routine. The team’s sharp motions, crowd engagement, and school spirit highlighted their dedication and passion for cheerleading.
Head Coach Swiger praised both teams for their effort and commitment. “Our athletes have worked incredibly hard this season, and their performances reflected that. We’re so proud of what they’ve accomplished,” the coach said.
With such impressive results and growing talent across all levels, the future is bright for the Yellow Jackets Cheer Squads. Sidney continues to build a strong tradition of excellence, teamwork, and school pride—on and off the mat.
