Sidney swim hosted Botkins at the Sidney-Shelby YMCA on Tuesday December 2nd. This was the first home meet for Sidney in almost 2 years. Coming off a previous season in which the Sidney YMCA pool was under construction, only 8 of the 22 current members of the Sidney swim team competed last year for Sidney High School. Both girls and boys teams have 11 athletes, compared to 5 girls and 7 boys last season.

Using the scoring 5-3-1 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in individual events and 6 and 4 points for relays, both teams lost to Botkins. Boys 44-46 and girls 37-48. The meet was not a traditional meet, opting for more sprint races (No 200 IM, 200 free or 500 free).
