Sidney senior Elijah Cotterman has officially taken the next step in his baseball career, signing with MidAmerica Nazarene University to continue playing at the collegiate level.
Cotterman will wrap up his high school career as a three-year varsity player for Sidney, earning a reputation as a reliable and versatile contributor. A career .270 hitter, he consistently provided steady production at the plate while also excelling defensively as a two-way player at first base and on the mound.
His ability to impact the game in multiple roles made him a key piece for the Yellowjackets, whether anchoring the infield or giving the team quality innings as a pitcher. That versatility is expected to translate well to the next level as he joins the MidAmerica Nazarene program.
Off the field, Cotterman has matched his athletic success with strong academics, with a 3.3 GPA—an achievement that reflects his dedication and discipline in the classroom.
With his signing, Cotterman becomes the latest Sidney athlete to advance to collegiate athletics, bringing his work ethic, versatility, and competitive mindset to MidAmerica Nazarene University baseball.
