EMILEE HAYNES- FRESHMAN- TRACK AND FIELD:
Freshman Emilee Haynes delivered an impressive performance at the Sidney Joe Ward Invitational, moving into the top 10 all-time in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:03.07, earning her a 6th-place ranking in school history. Her standout effort not only secured her the individual 400 title at the meet, but she also contributed to two relay victories, helping her team win both the 4x100 and 4x400 events. Behind these strong performances, Sidney finished the meet as the runner-up, highlighting a successful day for the team overall.
CHAISE JOHNSON-FRESHMAN- TRACK AND FIELD:
Freshman Chaise Johnson turned in a standout performance at the Sidney Joe Ward Invitational, moving into the top 10 all-time in the 400-meter run with a personal-record time of 52.04, ranking 9th in school history. His impressive effort earned him the 400 title at the meet, and he continued to shine as a key contributor on the relay teams, helping secure first-place finishes in both the 4x200 and 4x400. Thanks to strong performances like Johnson’s, Sidney finished as the runner-up at the Sidney Joe Ward Invitational.
